The app contains the descriptions from Wikipedia for all 1165 bird species that occur in Southern Africa.
In addition to the texts, the app also includes a picture for each bird species, a map showing the distribution for just under half, and about 150 audio samples.

The free app shows only the 30 most important species. You can unlock all species via In-App purchase, country by country.

Once the app is installed, it does not require any Internet connection. Indispensable in the African bush.
